Get a clue about today’s puzzling homebuying market.

Investigating Inventory

For a while now, there seems to have been a shortage of available homes in the Austin area. Mark’s read the construction clues, however, and can say that builders have been developing new homes for the past several months. This means new homes will be hitting the market soon. That’s good news for buyers who will have more to choose from and maybe a little less competition from like-minded buyers. It’s a good time to be a buyer. Here’s proof:

  • You have more negotiating power as the seller’s market begins to balance.
  • There’s a wider variety of options across different neighborhoods and price points.
  • Builders may offer special incentives as they are looking to move inventory, including. closing cost assistance (but reach out to Mark to make sure these are right for you).
  • You can be selective about location, amenities, and home features.

Don’t be foiled by bad credit (or even mediocre credit), credit “repair”, quick online loans,  and the wrong loan type (yes, there are many to choose from). Mark believes in going back to the basics.
